We are learning about North America and we have read two North American stories                 

WE have boxed up the story of the magic doll . We are going to write our own story next week.

 

 

 

English in Year 3

In year thee we have been reading the Magic Doll, a story that comes from North America.It is about a Native American Indian man. He met a God who gave him a magic doll which did whatever you said. He met a woman called Seboosis and wanted to marry her. Her father the chief asked him to do an impossible challenge to move a mountain  and he did then he married her. He later became the chief and never asked the doll to do anything again.

In class we did a shape poem about a country in North America .

Topic year 4!!!!

In topic we are learning about North America.

 It is very interesting and we are also writing a

fact sheet about places in North America.I did my

one on Jamaica and in guided reading our names are

named after places in North America.We could choose

are name and my group chose Mexico. We did the outline

 of the country we choose.After that we filled it in with facts we

knew about the country . There are lots of countries in North America.

   There are also lots of famous places there.

Math

We have been learning about money in maths this week in Kestrel and Falcon class. Working out totals and change.

Mr Croucher’s lunch club

maths times table

We are doing times tables at the moment I am very good at them . We could go on line and you have to answer the times tables . In year 4 you have a booklet and you have 3 minutes to answer as many questions as you can . You always have a timer on . We do all sorts of different times tables 3,4,.5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,2 and even 1’s. I am best at my 9’s and 7’s. 7 x 9 =63 2 x 7=14 2 x 9=18 and much more. We are working on are 6’s 7’s and 9’s at the moment. Year four maths .

We watched a video of Victorians life and wrote about it in our books. We’ve been learning about the 3 times table and counting in 3s also division. We have also been tested on the 3 times table in TT rockstars.

We answer a lot of questions in the morning for Maths of the day. On a Friday we do a TT rockstars test.
